A major factor in crafting wearable activewear clothing is the fabric. How the fabric of a garment feels next to your skin, how well it drapes and covers along with how easy it is to wash and retain its shape is vitally important. I want each garment to not only feel great but to perform well and be the best investment you ever made.

I spent a lot of time researching and testing different fabrics and realised it was possible to use natural sustainable fibres that were not only kinder to us but to our planet as well.

Some of the great benefits of our fabrics include:

• Soft and Breathable
• Antibacterial
• Odour resistant
• Moisture absorbing
• Hypoallergenic for sensitive skin
• Good stretch and recovery for support
• Washable and durable
• Wrinkle resistant
• Biodegradable

The main fibres in our fabric:

Lyocell

Lyocell is an amazing eco-friendly fabric that is made from the wood pulp from sustainable tree farms, usually from beech and eucalyptus. Lyocell textiles are created using a closed-loop process that recovers, purifies and reuses the solvent which is an environmentally conscious process that is 100 percent organic since its basis is a natural raw material.
It is 100% biodegradable and perhaps the greatest benefits are its strength, moisture management and exceptional comfort next to the skin.
Our lyocell fabric is buttery soft, breathable and hypoallergenic making it perfect for those with sensitive skin and it doesn’t cling! It has an extremely smooth surface that drapes beautifully to flatter every figure.

Modal

Modal is a super soft man-made natural fibre from beech trees and is completely biodegradable. It is up to 50 percent more absorbent than cotton, so clothes never feel sweaty and sticky. It also drapes well and is resistant to creasing as well as being very stretchy which makes it ideal for items like t-shirts and athletic wear.
Modal is considered a luxury textile and is often used to blend with other fibres to give a high-end feel with its lightness and softness. It has become very popular for the eco-conscious.

Cotton

Wearing clothes made from cotton is popular for many reasons, many of which come from it being a natural, breathable fibre that doesn’t cause allergies.
When cotton is combined with other natural fibres such as lyocell and modal you get the benefits of all the combined characteristics.
Organic cotton is grown in a way that uses methods and materials that lessen the impact on our environment. It is grown without harmful chemicals, leaving the soil, air and water free from contaminates that cause harm.
Garments made with cotton content are usually smooth with a good weight and  particularly flattering in its drape and in the mellow way it reflects and absorbs light. It is also non-allergic and feels comfortable against the skin.

Elastane

Elastane is the generic term used to describe branded textiles such as Lycra and as its name suggests it is highly elastic and has amazing stretch and recovery qualities which makes it suitable for all activewear. It is only ever used in combination with other fibres to increase stretchability which aids movement during exercise and activity.
